Thursday marked opening night for the NFL, the most popular sport for betting.
In recent years, sports betting has been made easier than ever, leading to an increase in gambling addiction.
Sheila Moran, Director of Marketing and Communication with the WV Problem Gambling Network, says they helped 1200 people last year, which is double compared to the previous year.
She says many callers use their mobile phones to bet on sports or casino games.
